The arrival of the incurable Xylella Fastidiosa disease in Puglia in 2013 brought an unprecedented transformation to the region, killing millions of olive trees and decimating olive oil production.
As Leaves Turned Brown is a reflection on the consequences of this disease.

The world is losing a significant part of its intrinsic heritage at a dizzying pace, and we believe that the Xylella Fastidiosa epidemic is a striking example of this.

At the heart of our narrative is the loss of a culture, ways of life, and above all, a landscape. A landscape that, whether in rain or heat, in times of war or epidemic, has always rested on a single certainty: the presence of olive trees.
